A creative collaboration with Ben Sherman on guitar, Angel Resto on bass and Frank Young on drums, ONE MIND is jazz-rock fusion for the new millenium. The CD surges with the raw, unbridled energy of fusion pioneers like Jeff Beck and Mahavishnu Orchestra, but the group's clean and clear sound points clearly to the future. The influence of Scott Henderson, Steve Morse, Allan Holdsworth and John Scofield is clearly felt, along with inspiration from such diverse sources as Miles Davis, Weather Report, Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles. The grooves are deep, the compositions sophisticated, the playing intense!

This group was originally formed to support Ben's first solo CD, FIRST LIGHT, but has emerged as a powerful writing and performing team. All three are experienced, first-rate musicians, each bringing substantial performing and creative talents to the project. The result is a new CD of focused, intense and uplifting instrumentals, featuring stellar musicianship and lots of improvisation and interplay.

Reflecting the collaborative nature of the project, much of the album was recorded live in the studio, with the three musicians jamming together, and letting the sparks fly. The result is a level of energy and intensity rarely heard in music today. ONE MIND is the sound of three musicians coming together to make a passionate statement about the music they love.
