Frank Young, drums

A Towson State University music graduate , Frank has played in numerous bands, and done a great deal of studio work in the Maryland area, with recording artists including Lisa Cerbone, David Bach, Jeff Order, Junkyard Saints, Disappear Fear and Doug Segree. He plays on two songs on Ben's first CD, FIRST LIGHT. Frank's amazing technique, tight precision and creative spontaneity are essential to the One Mind album.

Frank cites Vinnie Colaiuta, Gary Husband, Dennis Chambers, Jack DeJohnette and Bill Stewart as major influences.

Frank's gear includes: Drum Workshop drum kit; pedals are from Drum Workshop; cymbals are a mix of Sabian, Zildjian, and Paiste; sticks are either Vic Firth 5B wood tip or Vater Piccolo wood tip.
